The untold story behind Napster. Napster documentary 2024
Napster documentary 2024
The founders of napster Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker could be considered nerds in the sense that they were highly skilled and enthusiastic about technology. Both individuals demonstrated a deep understanding of computer systems and programming, which enabled them to create Napster. The platform launched in 1999, revolutionized digital music sharing, enabling peer-to-peer file sharing of MP3s. However, it faced legal battles due to copyright infringement, leading to its shutdown in 2001. It paved the way for legal digital music platforms but left a lasting impact on the music industry's digital transformation. ENJOY ;)

The Story of Faith No More

The Story of Faith No More is a new documentary a little bit shorter than the others that i have made before, so far this one i't my favorite! without a doubt this is one of the most influential bands of the 90s. Faith no more is a band who's not afraid to experiment different styles of music. they created their own style and are considered one of the most avant-garde bands to this day. The ban...

I used to love this band when I was a kid in the '90s... but then I grew up, I realized they're a bunch of prima donna douche bags.
💥💥💥💥
Their music and politics didn’t age well, they come off like self righteous twats. They should have enjoyed their moment while they had it.
great band, terrible AI narrator
Nice try.
To be honest, I didn't know much about these guys. I did see pics of Axl and fell in love instantly with just a magazine picture and then I think I heard Paradise City blasting on the radio in Melbourne. I thrn remembered I was newly married and my n ew husband was suspicious of me fixated on Axl, though I had no idea why I was staring at th at magazine pic.The music seemed to connect to something in me but I had no idea what. 'You're refined, so why are you listening to head banger music? You're not some down snd out country hayseed, this is the city...No more headbanging music in this house' he asserted. And switche it off. I threw that mag photo into the trash and just forgot all this stuff. It wasn't until recently that I started to listen to th eir music and hear about Axl's background, so similar to mine in the vo I ntry, that I suddenly understood why I felt so odfly fixated on that pic of Axl and Paradise city blasting over yhe rsfio, way back then. Like replaying a m I vie of the sory of my own life. Good art, whatevrr rough grnre i t might be, will always have the power to strike a chord in the listener's psyche. You don't always know why it affects you. It just does.
No matter what the future holds, I have so much love for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. I hope they're all doing well, RIP Chris Cornell
haber estado ahí fue un sueño hecho realidad ❤
My favorite bit of Woodstock '94 will always be Billie Joe Armstrong getting into a mud fight with the crowd. The thing that drove me nuts, though, was that Mike Dirnt was up there in a nice white shirt but no one aimed at him "I WILL NOT BECOME A MUD HIPPIE!"
Nothings worse than politics in music.
Esta hecho mierda el rubius hno
I have a VHS of someone’s home recording of an earlier Tool concert. This doc inspires me to digitize it and share it. The quality is quite good and there’s a funny scene where someone pukes in Maynard’s jacket.
Hah! I played at the Great American Music Hall in 2001....and Metallica showed up and played with us on stage!

I fucking love faith no more, fuck you!
Red Hot Chili Peppers was a bad choice for only wanting to hear one song. Californication is a killler album.
This guy sounds like Theo Vons brother or something. Anyways great video great style subbed
I've always been 50/50 about it, i kinda get Metallica's argument, if i put myself in their position i'd be pretty upset if say my employer figured out a way to get someone to do some of my work for free online and cut my pay in half as a result of just not needing to pay me as much anymore. At the same time Chuck D's point is also correct that labels had been gatekeepers and that any methods that artists can connect with fans directly without shady gatekeepers is an upgrade, but, when people work they expect to be paid for their work. Nowadays i think we have a better balance where the platforms aren't like Napster and instead pay the artists for the streams and monetize them with ads or subscriptions, so everyone got what they wanted, artists are still paid for their music and labels are no longer as big a deal as they used to be
I still remember when I first see them on cover of Spin Magazine in 96’. Tim was half naked with tribal tattoo and wearing gas mask. It just game a chill.
❤
People still fucken love the Offspring, that's awesome :)
I think the best thing about tool is that they want their music to be art
Golden era! ❤
It’s disgusting what alcohol does to people over time. I hope they are more healthy nowadays.
During the napster and DC++ era my boss at the time actually got targeted by the RIAA and her IP. I don't remember the exact amount but it was somewhere around $8,000-10,000 to settle + attorney fees. She had a family with 3 children and it absolutely crushed her financially. Thankfully her son ended up getting a full scholarship for college a year later so she was able to use *some* of those savings to get the lawsuit off her back.
DC++ what an awesome era, i remember mIRC also 🫶🏻

Robot voice narrator.
Great content, big fan of Danny's&it was fun hearing your commentary great understanding what was happening! I will check you out again!
5:42 man that voice. I wish I could of been around to see them live in this era. Incredible. Does anybody know what set that was from? Is there a full video of that performance on here?
❤ i love The Offspring ❤
Dexter looks well these days, he dumped about 100 pounds of beer gut
What a stupid introduction. The AI voice made it sound like yall hunt great white sharks but if an Orca jump in there "ABSOLUTE MURDER! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES. Enjoy this rubbish. Miss me with that nonsense.
Tim Commerford is My Cousin and when He was 12yrs old and I was 18 Yrs old We almost got Killed when the car I was driving died on the Railroad Tracks. Thankfully some Men pushed of the Tracks just before the would have Hit us. I didn't hear the Train coming because Tim was yelling HURRY UP so loudly.

I was there. It was literally 1 week ago. He didn’t collapse on stage but he felt dizzy, so he stopped playing and ran away to vomit backstage. When he came back he told us what happened. He posted a pic and wrote about it on his Instagram. (Sorry for my English guys)
idk if you’re trolling but your english is good 🙂↕️
@@rhxzor trolling about my English or about the fact that I’ve been to Blink’s concert in Paraguay? I’m not trolling in any case 😂 Thanks by the way.
@@TathyHotel the english part i meant lol
Jim is a legend. Their music got worse, just as Mike predicted would if they kept him.
Trying to spot my uncle in this festival has become a wheres waldo
I hat that jim didn't or couldn't stay with the band idk what mike says jim could have mad it worked i believe if he was let do so, they got pissed he made a remark about gay sounds or something and let him go but he would have do a great job, and I listen to fnm every freaking day not a hater......
Adam Jones is Gorgeous❤
how is there no video of him collapsing?
Because it's a lie

@@sbriguy6no it’s not
By the way, I do have a video where Mark and Travis were killing time on stage, making jokes about hoping that Tom wasn't dying backstage. Mark cracked a lot of jokes, but he was actually worried about him. By the way, you just gave me the idea of uploading that video, because they talked about it on social media, in the press, and on Tom’s Instagram, but nobody actually showed footage of it.
grande ofspring carajo
Can SOMEONE please tell me what song is playing between 2:45 and 3:47? I've pretty much listened to Tools entire discography, and I've never heard it before. I can't find it anywhere
Sure! t’s a Ted Nugent song called “stranglehold”performed by TOOL.
@@chilebootleg Thanks! I didn't realize it was stranglehold but I hear it now
